Resolving a PDF opening issue caused by the Adobe Acrobat extension

⚠️ Known issue — A recent Google Chrome update changed how the Adobe Acrobat extension works, which can prevent PDFs from opening in Omnimed (results, printouts, etc.). The fix is to remove or disable this extension in Chrome.

Symptoms

  • Unable to open a result in PDF format

  • Unable to print a document from Omnimed (Oups page)

  • The document stays stuck loading or doesn't display

Solution: remove or disable the Adobe Acrobat extension

  1. Click the (three vertical dots) menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.

  2. Hover over Extensions, then click Manage Extensions in the submenu.

  3. In the All Extensions list, locate Adobe Acrobat: PDF edit, convert...

  4. Click Remove (recommended) — or, if you'd rather keep it installed, simply disable it by toggling the blue switch to the right of the extension.

  5. Confirm the removal if prompted.

Opening PDFs and printing should now work normally.
